Do this week's five tasks, in any order, one per day:
TASK ONE:
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH! This week: FLOWERS! One thing that is healthy to do is to spend time outside... and in nature! Last week you looked for animals. Some of you found squirrels, rabbits, birds.... and even killdeer, deer, and buffalo! This week, take a walk and try to find some beautiful flowers. Try to get a picture of something no one else has seen! Send me that picture. Keep exercising. Keep on eating fruits and vegetables at every meal. Keep trying NEW activities and NEW foods. Text me a picture of the animals you find. Tell me your name with your text! 260-417-2229. |
TASK TWO:
CLEANING ACTIVITY This weeks cleaning activity is to CLEAN AND/OR REPAIR AN OLD TOY, GAME, OR BIKE, ETC. This could be one of your toys, or a parents toy, or a grandparent's toy. Make it look as close to new as you possibly can. See if you can "fix it up" if it is broken. Wash it, make it look nice, and see if you can make it attractive again. If it is missing parts or pieces (and you know they are around somewhere) see if you can find them. TAKE BEFORE AND AFTER pictures of what you have worked on and send them to me once you are done. Make sure to tell me WHO you are! Text me the picture using your phone or your parents phone at 260-417-2229. |
TASK THREE:
COOKING THIS WEEK: PICK A COUNTRY YOU WANT TO VISIT SOMEDAY (or maybe one you've already visited and would like to go back to again.) Pick a food / recipe from that country and try to make it! (You can search for foods they eat and recipes online.) This should be something you've never made before and something you do not eat regularly and that no one in your family makes. This may take some planning and maybe a shopping trip - which maybe you cannot do with Social Distancing. If that's the case, just find the recipe and write down the ingredients you would need to get after the stay-at-home order is over. Find a picture of the food online and send me a picture of it, and tell me why you want to make and try that food someday. Send information and pictures to: 260-417-2229 or [email protected] |
TASK FOUR:
THE WEEKLY LETTER: This week's letter is to write a letter to your Pastor. Tell him how you are doing. Tell him how you feel. Tell him what you need. Tell him how you need prayed for. Thank him for being a spiritual leader in your life. Maybe - if you are able - ask him if there is anything you can do for him or anything you can pray for for him. Conclude your letter with a closing. Open your letter with an opening. Try to write it in the form of a letter. Look up how to do this on the internet, if you need to. |
TASK FIVE:
DO SOMETHING NEW: This week, instead of LEARNING something new.... DO something new! Whether that's eating something you've never eaten before, playing a game you've never played before, or listening to a type of music you've never listened to before.... DO SOMETHING NEW! This can be really fun. Let's see what you come up with! |
