Do this week's five tasks, in any order, one per day:
TASK ONE:
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH! This week: ANIMAL WATCHING! One thing that is healthy to do is to spend time outside... and in nature! Take a walk and try to find some wild animals (not your neighbor's dog or cat) and take a picture. Squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, raccoons, birds, deer.... try to get a picture of something no one else has seen! Send me that picture. Keep exercising. Keep on eating fruits and vegetables at every meal. Keep trying NEW activities and NEW foods. Text me a picture of the animals you find. Tell me your name with your text! 260-417-2229. |
TASK TWO:
CLEANING ACTIVITY This weeks cleaning activity is to CLEAN SOMETHING OUTSIDE. It could be at your home or apartment or at a Grandparent's home (if you are able to be there outside.) You could clean up leaves from mulch or flower beds, pick up ALL the sticks in a yard, wash some moss or mold off of a railing or siding, or freshen something outside with a new coat of paint. Ask your parents if you're unsure if you should be tackling your idea! TAKE BEFORE AND AFTER pictures of what you have worked on and send them to me once you are done. Make sure to tell me WHO you are! Text me the picture using your phone or your parents phone at 260-417-2229. |
TASK THREE:
COOKING THIS WEEK: HOST A FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT... that YOU set up! You decide if there are snacks and drinks (and you prepare them). You be the host. Serve everyone everything that they need! Popcorn, drinks, etc... and refill everyone's bowl and cup as needed. You could do a double feature if you have time. (Two movies). You pick the movies, but pick things you know everyone in your family will enjoy. Then, send me pictures of your movie night in action! 260-417-2229 or [email protected] |
TASK FOUR:
THE WEEKLY LETTER: This week's letter is simply to write an e-mail to ME! You need to answer ALL of the following in your letter to me. 1) Tell me how you're doing in all of this. 2) Tell me what the hardest part has been. 3) Tell me what the most fun part has been. 4) Tell me what you've LEARNED from this. 5) Tell me what GOOD has come out of this for you or your family. 6) Tell me what have the negative things that have been for you and your family. 7) Tell me - what new routines do you have? 8) What are your days like? 9) Anything else you can explain or tell me? Conclude your letter with a closing. Open your letter with an opening. Try to write it in the form of a letter. Look up how to do this on the internet, if you need to. |
TASK FIVE:
KEEP LEARNING FOR LIFE! (Same as previous weeks.) Ask your parents to teach you something you have never done before... SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN PREVIOUS WEEKS, and learn how to do it. Then, do it again completely on your own. This could be anything.... but should really be something you didn't really know how to do before. Examples: 1. How to write a check. 2. How to groom a pet or give it a bath. 3. How to change a diaper. 4. How to use your photos to make a photo album or a shutterfly book. 5. How to trim bushes. 6. How to paint a room in your house. Previous Examples: 1. Doing the laundry.... washing, drying, folding, putting away. 2. Loading and running the dishwasher... putting soap in, setting it, and putting dishes away. 3. Cooking or baking something you did not know how to cook or bake before. If you use this in your dinner... do this one BEFORE you do the dinner-making task. 4. Change the oil on your parents car. 5. Pump the gas at the gas station and pay. Do it once with your parents. Then do it on your own while they sit in the car. 6. Pick something else you'd like to learn how to do.... and learn to do it on your own! |
