E-Learning Day 2 for 8th Grade:
IS TODAY THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13? Then you are at the right place! Go down this page, clicking each item starting with Mississinewa 1812. Do the English and the History assignments. Also, don't forget to do assignments for Mrs. Sipes and Mrs. Mannigel! Make sure you get these ALL turned in by next Friday. The idea is to do this all today! Let's Get to Work... Depending on your attitude, Work can seem like play... Work hard, play hard! Here's a little "play before work!" |
For fun, hear one of Nathan's old favorite stories, "Go Dogs, Go!" Or... maybe it was one of his dad's favorites...
For your first assignment today, go to the Mississinewa Link below and answer the question.
You have some time (a few months) yet, but this is something you can start thinkking about and looking at when you go out to stores... REMEMBER TO START COLLECTING MATERIALS FOR THE SCRAPBOOK FOR THE PROJECT AFTER OUR WASHINGTON, D.C. TRIP
Remember to get a scrapbook and any supplies you want to add to your scrapbook project. The pictures are a MUST... and then you also need to include descriptions from AT LEAST 10 PLACES we visited. You will also use journal entries from the trip. START COLLECTING DISPOSABLE CAMERAS (or get/borrow) a digital camera, GET A LARGE 12 by 12 SCRAPBOOK, COLLECT USA or D.C. STICKERS and other items that you could use to make a nice project.

UNITED STATES HISTORY
For U.S. History Class, you have one assignment. We are going to our nation's capital, Washington, D.C. You can see the National Mall and some of the amazing sites we visited on the picture and map above. As you look at the picture and map, tell me in at least 100 words how you feel about Washington, D.C. as a place we are going. When we get back, we will compare how you feel at that time as compared to before you were able to visit it with our class. What does our country and our history mean to you? Answer the questions in the form below. Don't forget to include your name before you submit your answer. Count your words if you do not think you have at least 100 words.
