ENGLISH: Today is a the final school day to work on your speech. You should already have it memorized, and now be working on the finishing touches. Work on saying it SLOOOOOOOWLY. Work on using voice inflection (saying it with meaning and appropriate changes in your voice). Time it - aiming for a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 8 minutes. You should work on this a little bit today, tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday.... so that you are READY TO GO on Tuesday!
U.S. HISTORY: Yesterday Mr. Whirrett had you bring your U.S. History book home with you. (If you didn't do this, you will have to get the book and complete this on our next day of school.) Read Chapter 9, Section 2, pages 284-286 in your text book. On page 286 answer questions 1-5. You can answer the questions below OR write them on a separate sheet of paper and turn them in on Tuesday. Everyone who submits the answers below by FRIDAY (today) OR who turns them in on paper by Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. will get EXTRA CREDIT!
